Paper content instructions: In 8 pages or more (not including the title or reference pages), please provide the following information regarding your service: 

•        In 1 page: Provide the basic information about the Beacon: who they are and what types of services they provide to the community, who they serve in the community, where they are located, and the basic history of the agency. 

•        In 2-3 pages: Provide a brief description of exactly what you did during your 10 hours, 

•        In 4-5 pages, based on your volunteering experience, you should then provide detailed reflection and discussion on the following prompts:

1.     How do the organization and its programs/services affect traditionally underserved, vulnerable, and marginalized populations?

2.     What affect does the organization have on the larger community within which it operates?

3.     Think creatively about strategies the organization could implement to improve services.

4.     Compare and contrast your worldview (i.e., values, beliefs, and practices) to the mission, vision, and services of the organization. 

5.     As a result of your service-learning project, what have you learned about your thinking and values as they relate to your role as a citizen within a larger community?
