Write a structured essay examining a case study of a breakdown incident in communication in the workplace. (Reading 1.2 LINK gives an example of this. Students should research their own example for this assignment.)

a. Give a succinct description of the incident, identifying the elements of the communication process, as well as the types and forms of communication used. 

b. Analyse the incident using the model/s and the theory we have covered in the unit so far. Describe which element/s of the communication process and what type of communication barrier/s were involved in the problem.

c. Explain what changes or improvements would be needed to ensure effective communication in future instances.
