The first assessment will focus on the development and presentation of an innovative start-up pitch leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) in addressing global health challenges, specifically targeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3). The urgency of improving healthcare accessibility, disease prevention, and medical innovation highlights the importance of leveraging AI to develop innovative solutions. SDG Goal 3 calls for immediate actions to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all by 2030, addressing critical healthcare challenges such as lack of access to essential medical services, rising chronic diseases, mental health concerns, pandemics, and healthcare system inefficiencies.

The increasing availability of health data and advancements in AI, data analytics, and new generative AI capabilities present an opportunity to develop and deploy intelligent healthcare systems to tackle global health issues effectively. AI, data analytics, and generative AI should be incorporated to develop innovative and impactful healthcare solutions, including but not limited to disease prediction, medical diagnostics, patient care optimization, healthcare automation, biomedical research, and mental health support.

Your start-up pitch should clearly outline the problem it aims to address and how AI, data analytics, and generative AI will be integrated into the solution. Detail the AI tools, techniques, and frameworks that will be employed, explaining the technical feasibility and innovative aspects of the solution. Discuss the potential social, economic, privacy, and ethical impacts of your start-up, providing data and projections to support the anticipated benefits.

What you are required to do:

1. Understand the key elements of a start-up.
2. Conduct an environment scan/literature search of current solutions in the area, both overseas and local (Background).
3. Develop a critical understanding of the gaps, challenges, as well as the needs and expectations in this sector globally (Problem/Challenge).
4. Based on your readings and observations, as well as expertise acquired in the course thus far, propose the design, development strategy, and deployment strategy of an analytics solution for the identified problem/challenge (Solution).
5. You must independently decide on the nature, scale of the problem, as well as the type of analytics solution (components, lifecycle, insights generation) that you intend to design, develop, and deploy.
6. This solution must provide a competitive advantage from an organisational perspective.
7. You must also account for the ethics and governance factors that will influence the proposed solution.

The Use of Generative AI:

The use of Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude AI, and Bing Chat is encouraged for the purpose of knowledge acquisition and the review/evaluation of content. You should NOT use Generative AI to completely write/compose the content of your submission. All content, ideas, and contributions must be your own. We will use plagiarism-detection services to evaluate the authenticity of your work. In suspicious cases, you will present your work in Q&A sessions with the teaching team.

Deliverables:

1. A 10-minute (maximum 10 minutes) video recording of your start-up pitch.
   • You may use a slide deck to organise your content, and you must be visible in the recording to deliver the pitch.
   • You can use any Generative AI tool to prepare your script/images that will enhance the quality of the deliverable.
   • Background, Challenge, and Solution sections are required as part of the pitch.
   • Use a text-to-image Generative AI tool to create at least one AI-generated image in relevant content (Example: Logo for your start-up) (2 marks).
   • You may use Zoom screen recording feature or any other recording platform to create your start-up pitch. For a step-by-step guide to Zoom screen recording, follow this link.
2. A Word document that provides the following in the mentioned format:
   • Hyperlinks, chat exports, or screenshots to the conversation with your desired Generative AI tool (such as ChatGPT 4o, Google Gemini, or Claude AI) on how you advanced your knowledge on the following two topics in relation to the startup:
     1. Understanding the problem domain.
     2. Revenue generation plan for your startup.
   • Any additional prompts or information to support your pitch (Optional).

Starting with the following prompt. Open a new chat window and present the following prompt to a Gen AI tool such as ChatGPT. Continue the conversation for five questions.

"You are a business owner with a multi-million-dollar net worth. You are looking to invest in the healthcare and wellness industry, specifically seeking opportunities that utilize artificial intelligence, data analytics, and the latest generative AI capabilities. You are particularly cautious about how a new startup can scale, how it addresses the core challenges in healthcare such as disease prediction, medical diagnostics, mental health support, patient care optimization, and healthcare automation, how it provides better services compared to existing solutions, and its competitive advantage. As an aggressive investor seeking viable business opportunities, you are also interested in customer acquisition strategies, the estimated customer acquisition cost, the path to profitability, and the lifetime value of a customer. I would like you to ask me questions in a conversation style. You go first. Ask questions based on the answers I give. Focus more on how the startup addresses the problem domain and provides better services, then move on to customer-related aspects. Make me rethink my startup in ways I have not even imagined. After asking 5 questions, give me feedback based solely on the replies I give you, whether you will invest in my startup or not. For this, consider whether the answers I give are precise in details without ambiguity, the energy of the answers I give, and the understanding I have on the problem domain."

2. Mandatory: Word document that contains hyperlinks to the ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Claude AI conversations with text-to-image.
3. Optional: The Word document above can be in the form of a written report that includes any other information or prompts that you would like to include.
4. Optional: PowerPoint file of your start-up pitch.
