Choose a cardiac, renal or pulmonary disease for your topic and explain in detail the pathophysiology (how it alters the normal structure and/or function of the body) on both the microscopic (cellular) and macroscopic level; as well as what populations (if any) are most affected by it.
Describe how the disease is diagnosed, including all specific tests, imaging studies or clinical findings that are used.
Explain all the specific treatment modalities that may be used for it. For example: drugs, surgeries, therapies, etc.; also include the prognosis of the disease. Also include anesthesia concerns/considerations and how you would manage them.
Paper must have at least two references from peer-reviewed journals. You may use a textbooks in addition to your other references.
The Paper should contain at minimum five full pages of original content, in addition to the cover and reference pages. Regarding quoted/cited material, the paper should include less than 20% quoted/cited material. Quotes/citations should not exceed 40 words.
