Community Engagement for Social Media Campaign Overview Throughout this course, you will explore public, population, environmental, and global health issues. The first step of your project is to identify a relevant topic by engaging with your community. This engagement will guide your evidence-based social media campaign and promote advocacy, public health education, and scholarly communication.

Instructions Step 1: Engage Your Community

Use social media (preferred) or speak with at least five (5) individuals face-to-face. Ask for suggestions on public health concerns and why those issues matter. The goal is to identify a topic that would benefit from a social media campaign. Step 2: Document the Responses

Social media: Submit a screenshot of your post and responses (you may redact names). Face-to-Face: Submit a bullet-point summary for each person (e.g., Person 1, Person 2) with a brief statement of what they shared. Names are not required. Step 3: Choose Your Topic

Based on the input you received, select a topic for your campaign. Submit a brief narrative explaining your chosen topic and why it matters. Example Prompt Hi everyone! Please share your thoughts and why this issue matters to you.You may let people suggest freely or offer examples if needed. Some example topics include:
