Assignment Task:


Component 2 – Students are asked to deliver a podcast either as a solo speech or an interview. Two students can join to create an interview style podcast answer to the assessment if they wish, if so the two individual time limits can be combined (10 minutes). Or students can work individually to create a solo podcast using their time limit (5 minutes).

Imagine a potential project in an organisation of your choice. You will only need to explain the organisation and project idea very briefly.

•    The assignment is based on a critical discussion (e.g. the use of knowledge management and information management for decision making)
•    Early in the module, each student will identify a plan of action for the podcast delivery
Apply a VUCA analysis to the project.

Based on your VUCA analysis, make a recommendation for how the project should be organized .

You can choose to discuss one of the below aspects of project organization, or use something different of your own choice.
•    Particular project phasing
•    Specific governance
•    A procurement strategy
•    A knowledge management strategy
•    An improvement of a certain aspect of project management processor methodology

1.    Differentiate between the responsibilities of the project manager and the project sponsor throughout the project, as well as the structure, roles and responsibilities of the project team.
2.    Outline the role of knowledge and information management to inform decision making.
3.    Explain tools and techniques used to determine factors which influence and impact projects( including PESTLE, SWOT and VUCA).
4.    Graduate Attribute: Professional skills: demonstrate transferables kills that are essential to a career in PM, developing the core skills of complex problem- solving, critical thinking and analysis, as well as leadership and social influence.


All learning out comes must be met to pass the module. You will be graded based on how well you meet these learning outcomes. Your marker will use a rubric/marking matrix to grade your work, and you can find this on the “My Assessment ”tab on the module iLearn page.
