Directions Provide the following information in your submission:

  1. the topic you have chosen for analysis
  2. the links or downloads of two articles that you will use in developing your Literary Analysis . Remember that at least one article should come from the MDC Databases or Google Scholar.  Literary criticism on nonfiction writing is a bit different than for fiction, as you are writing about real people, not characters, but there are many research articles about this memoir, so you will find something useful.

IMPORTANT: This assignment is for two sources IN ADDITION to Night. Do not list Night as one of these two sources. The skill you must show here is your ability to do research. Also, if you want to use the Bloom books with literary criticism located in your course guide (see link below), you cannot list the whole book as your source. You must find an article that will help you prove your thesis and only provide info on that particular article.

COURSE GUIDE LINK TO TWO BOOKS OF LITERARY CRITICSM ON NIGHT (YOU MAY USE ONE ARTICLE ) https://libraryguides.mdc.edu/ENC1102/NightLinks to an external site.

IMPORTANT: you are allowed to include one non-literary (but still academic) source in your analysis. For instance, you can use historical research about the Holocaust, research from psychology databases about trauma theory or the psychology of genocide, and so on.

YOU MAY NOT USE ARTICLES FROM NON-ACADEMIC SITES SUCH AS CLIFFSNOTES, SHMOOP, SPARKNOTES, OR GRADESAVER.
