This is a knowledge-based unit. Knowledge evidence may be generated outside of the work environment, but the final assessment and decision must show application of knowledge within the real work environment.

Submit all written work as Word documents. Include the signed Cover page and assessor sign-off Workplace Evidence Record form to the assessments. Assignment Guidelines and Assignment Structure General Guidelines The work you submit must be in your own words. All quotes or extracts of information must be referenced clearly using the Harvard Referencing method. This includes in-text citations and the reference list. (Do not use Wikipedia as a reference) The word count applies from the Introduction to the Conclusion, or for your answers to tasks including the headings. Each answer to each task must be clearly annotated with the task number. Ensure your work is clearly presented and that you use correct grammar. Assignment Structure All written coursework must be word-processed and submitted as a single document. Presentations and videos may be submitted separately. Please make sure to include the completed cover sheet and title page with your signature as the first page of your assignment. Submissions without these pages will be returned and will not be marked. Formatting Requirements: Document margins must not be more than 2.54 cm (1 inch) or less than 1.9 cm (¾ inch). The assignment should be in a business style using single spacing and font size 12. A standard and commonly used typeface such as Arial or Time New Roman should be used. All figures, graphs, and tables must be numbered. Material taken from external sources must be properly referenced using the Harvard referencing system. Do not use Wikipedia as a reference. The definitions and scope of plagiarism and collusion are outlined below: Plagiarism: Presenting somebody else’s work as your own. This includes copying information directly from the web or books without referencing the material or submitting joint coursework as an individual effort. Collusion: Copying another learner’s coursework, stealing coursework from another learner, and submitting it as your own work. Suspected plagiarism or collusion will be investigated and, if found to have occurred, will be dealt with according to College procedures. (For details on plagiarism and collusion, please see the Learner Handbook.) Submission Process Formative submissions need be emailed to the mentor to receive feedback. Learners will receive two formative feedback opportunities per assignment. The second formative feedback will primarily review the first feedback.

Mentors and Assessors will check your assignment’s similarity and AI detection. Any assignment not adhering to these levels will be returned without feedback. Continuous non-adherence may result in academic malpractice.

All summative assignments must be submitted via the Learner submission portal. Summative assignments are not accepted via email. Only one summative attempt is available for each unit.

There is only one resubmission opportunity with a penalty for each assignment. (Fee is not applicable for fast-track learners.)

If a learner fails to achieve the required standard in both the final/late submission and the resubmission, they will be required to retake the entire unit, which includes full attendance and payment of the applicable unit fee.
