Identify and justify a real-world problem associated within your chosen organisation related to innovation, culture, teamwork, or internal processes Assessment requirements at a glance The assessment is a 3,000-word portfolio consisting of an organisational analysis and an intrapreneurial skills reflection. Part 1 requires one organisation from the approved list, one clearly justified organisational problem, one teamwork theory and one culture theory studied during the module. Part 2 requires evidence from two completed self-assessment tools. The two parts must be submitted together and referenced using OBU Harvard.

The assessment requires you to produce a portfolio (equivalent to 3,000 words, ± 10%) that identifies a real-world organisational problem and proposes an innovative solution through application of intrapreneurial thinking and relevant theoretical frameworks.
The portfolio will also include a reflective skills audit where you will reflect on their own intrapreneurial strengths, behaviours, and areas for growth.
You will be encouraged to take part in formative tasks which are built into the module to provide regular, low-stakes opportunities for you to practise and apply key skills and knowledge that are aligned to the module learning outcomes and the skills required for the summative assignment.
These tasks do not contribute to the final grade of the module, but are designed to monitor your progress, identify any gaps in learning by providing timely verbal and/or written feedback.
Your ability to write clearly and concisely is an important academic and professional skill.
While there are no automatic penalties for exceeding the word count, your mark will be impacted if your work is overly long or short, as you will not have been able to show sufficient knowledge or the ability to be able to write a clear argument.

Understanding intrapreneurship in your chosen organisation (LO2, LO4) Introduce your chosen organisation and analyse the intrapreneurial traits and behaviours of the founder/s or early leadership.
Identify and justify a real-world problem associated within your chosen organisation related to innovation, culture, teamwork, or internal processes Analyse the founder’s intrapreneurial traits, behaviours, leadership style & its impact on the organisation’s early growth and innovation. Evaluate the organisation’s current approach to intrapreneurship and how it has evolved, linking to the identified problem. Teamwork & Culture (LO1, LO3) Pick one teamwork theory and one culture theory from the lectures studied in this module and:
Apply relevant theory to critically assess your organisation’s culture and teamwork, and their impact on intrapreneurship. Evaluate how leadership and motivation influence intrapreneurial behaviour. Evaluate how the organisation’s approach to intrapreneurship changed as it grew. Challenges and Recommendations (LO1, LO2, LO3 & LO4) Critically summarise the struggles the organisation faced to maintain an intrapreneurial mindset demonstrated by its founder/s.
Evaluate key challenges related to culture and teamwork. Develop a clear, innovative, and feasible intrapreneurial solution to address the identified problem, supported by evidence. Consider implementation, risk and organisational context supported by research. Part 2 – Intrapreneurial skills audit & reflection (LO3 and LO4) Conduct a skills audit by drawing on two self-assessment tools undertaken throughout this module:
Evaluate your intrapreneurial mindset and skills, identifying your key strengths and weaknesses and the opportunities for growth Outline personal strategies to support your future development as an intrapreneur with relevant self-assessment evidence. You are required to find reading materials (e.g. academic journal articles, books or books chapters, or reports) that relate to your chosen topic as supporting evidence. You should also reference the core and recommended reading books from the list provided.
Formatting guidelines Both parts of the component should be submitted as one document.
File type: You must save your portfolio in MS Word format. Please note that if the file type is unreadable by Turnitin, it will receive a grade of 0 Font: Arial Font size: 12 1.5-line or double line spacing. Please reference your work according to the OBU Harvard style.
Wherever possible, submitted work will be marked anonymously to ensure impartiality; therefore, please ensure that you include your student ID on your submission instead of your name.
Submission instructions Moodle. Please update the submission date and ensure that this matches the approved assessment calendar.
We recommend that you aim to submit well before the deadline in case you encounter any problems. This video shows how to submit your work on Moodle. You should retain your digital receipt in case of any issues.
Resits If you do not meet the pass requirement on the first sit, you will be offered a resit opportunity. There is a dedicated week timetabled for you to receive support from lecturers if you are in this position, and a resubmission deadline.
The Oxford Brookes University Regulations for Study (6.9) set out the rules governing your entitlements to resit assessments and retake modules.
The mark that you achieve for a resit will be capped at the pass mark unless there was an approved Exceptional Circumstances that agrees an uncapped mark.
How will my work be marked?
Your work will be assessed on the extent to which it demonstrates your achievement of the stated criteria in the level-appropriate marking rubrics provided in this document.
Once the submission date has passed, your module tutors will begin to mark your work.
There are a number of phases to this to ensure fairness is maintained across the whole cohort. Following this process, a sample of work is reviewed by a subject expert at Oxford Brookes University and an External Examiner for the programme to ensure that the standards applied are comparable to those at other institutions.
How will I get feedback?
Feedback on your work will be provided in a range of ways at various times throughout this module to support your learning and help you to improve subsequent work.
Feedback provided throughout the module will not be limited to the assessed tasks but will include areas such as your contribution in class and formative assessments.
Assessment feedback will normally be provided within 15 working days of submission. All marks are provisional until they have been ratified by the Examination Committee and are visible in your Oxford Brookes student record.
