Ascertain the stages in entrepreneurial process
Recognise different domestic and international entrepreneurs, their entrepreneurial management styles, leadership and approaches
Classify the personal attributes of entrepreneurs that enable the best use of entrepreneurial opportunities
Your presentation should answer the following questions:
- What is your definition of entrepreneurship and why do you believe it to be so?
- You should use at least two references from the Reading List to support your view.
- Explain the 9-stage model in your own words and provide examples to show what you have learnt.
- Choose one video case study. Which of the 9-stages is the person at? What do they need to do to move to the next stage? Explain your reasons.
You will need to upload your video to the submission point on Moodle. You will be shown how to create, save and upload videos from Microsoft PowerPoint. You will have the opportunity to practise and get feedback in class so that you can produce the short video and Powerpoint slides. To ensure that you know how to submit before the deadline, your SST and tutor will be able to guide you and answer any questions. In week 5 you have the opportunity to finalise your assessment and get group and one-to-one support.
You should check your video before uploading it to Moodle. Once you submit your work, you will receive a digital receipt as proof of submission by email. Please keep this receipt for future reference, along with the original electronic copy of your assignment. If you have technical issues that prevent you from submitting through Moodle then you should email your assignment submission to your SST before the deadline with an explanation of the technical issue.
