In this assignment, students evaluate the ethical implications and  cultural relevance of psychological testing practices across diverse  populations.

Identify and explain key concepts related to cultural competence,  test fairness, and bias. Summarize the APA’s Ethical Principles and  relevant multicultural testing guidelines, and describe the significance  of these principles for testing in diverse populations.  Present a hypothetical or real case study, such as an assessment of a  person with a disability, bilingual individual, etc. that includes the  identification of ethical and cultural challenges in the assessment  process and relevant ethical guidelines to propose appropriate  responses.  Select one major psychological test (e.g., MMPI-2, WISC-V, WAIS-V)  and evaluate its suitability for a specific diverse population that  includes cultural assumptions in content or norms, language complexity,  or accessibility/accommodation Propose 3 specific changes to the test or testing procedure to make  it more inclusive and ethical. Include justification for your proposal  based on ethical principles, cultural frameworks, and psychometric  considerations. Address how these changes promote equity and improve  validity. Evaluate current testing practices considering your findings and  offer evidence-based recommendations for practitioners. Reflect on the  broader impact of culturally competent and ethical testing.
