This assessment explores how strategic HR planning must adapt to AI and robotic technologies, focusing on their impact in the health, retail, education, or hospitality sectors.

- Industry Impacts and HR Automation:
- Choose one sector (health, retail, education, or hospitality).
- Analyze how AI and robotic technologies will transform jobs in that sector.

Context
The last two decades have seen significant changes in the workplace due to the Internet of Things (IoT) and the e-economy. AI has driven employment growth, particularly in the gig economy through platforms such as Uber and Airtasker. While AI and machine learning offer potential benefits in HRM, concerns around privacy, accountability, and bias remain (Nankervis et al., 2023).
