- Purpose of the Assessment
This module is assessed through two separate components designed to develop your ability to analyse international trade, foreign direct investment (FDI), and global operations from a business analyst and managerial decision-making perspective.
Across both components, you will evaluate a new investment or operational decision taken by a large multinational enterprise (MNE) in a developing or emerging economy.
You are expected to analyse whether, why, and under what conditions the investment decision is strategically sound, using theory, data, and managerial judgement. - Assessment Components
Component 1: Group Presentation (30%)
Assessed live during seminars
Focuses on strategic, trade, and investment-level analysis
Encourages collaborative discussion and early application of theory
Component 2: Individual Case Study Report (70%)

Requires independent, in-depth, data-driven analysis
Builds on the same analytical logic, but with deeper evaluation and original insight - Case Selection (MANDATORY)
