Review the Case Study using chapters 6-11 as a reference. This assignment aligns with learning objectives (1, 4, 6, 8, 13) by providing an opportunity to analyze a real-life case study, which allows you to demonstrate knowledge of effective supervisory skills and models. By reflecting on the necessary changes to improve school performance, you can deepen your understanding of the characteristics of adult learners and the change process in schools. The task requires the development of an action plan, helping students to create a supervisory platform that reflects their own supervisory practices. The emphasis on using research to support decisions also enhances students' ability to interpret reading materials, compare supervisory beliefs, and create thoughtful, evidence-based responses. Ultimately, this assignment helps students prepare to lead change effectively in educational settings and evaluate the progress of their teams.

The Case of Judge Manning Schools
Bledsoe Consolidated School District is in rural North Carolina. The district has three elementary schools, one middle school, and three high schools. During the 2022-2023 school year, the middle school and none of the high school made adequate yearly progress (AYP). In 2023-2024, the district overall showed little or no growth. In 2024-2025, the school district was placed on probation and School Assistance Teams entered the district to help. In 2025-2026, Judge Manning examined all the schools in North Carolina and issued a written notice that ordered the closing of all schools that were not performing. Four of your schools were in this written notice.
The Superintendent called all the principals to meet with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and himself. During this meeting, they shared each school’s data, class by class, teacher by teacher, and course by course. As they shared this information, the Superintendent made it clear that he is committed to helping you succeed as a team. To that end, he asked that you (Associate Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction) work with each school principal as an addendum to their school improvement plans.

You must have at least 3 references. You may use your text as a reference. After your argument for the necessary changes, develop and write an action plan. Try not to exceed 5 pages.
