Final Project. 

The final project will encompass all of the material covered throughout the eight-week course. We will develop a proposal to explain your strategic vision as an applying CIO to an enterprise. There is no page limit on the proposal. The evaluation is based on your ability to apply the concepts from the course in both depth and breadth. Below is an outline of the main topics required. The depth comes from your ability to use the topics from the chapters within your proposal.

Outline:

• Choose an actual company or make up a fictional one.
  • The company must have the following C-Level groups.
    • CIO (Information)
    • CTO (Technology)
    • CEO (Executive)
    • CFO (Financial)
    • CESO (Environmental)
    • COO (Operations)
• Develop a strategic plan for applying IT to the business, which adds value to ALL strategic positions (Section I - Chapter 1-5)
  • Include a Plan introduction for the IT Value Proposition that shows Business Value (Ref Chap 1-2)
  • Include a Data Strategy (Ref Chap 3)
  • Include a Digital Strategy (Ref Chap 4)
  • Include a Cloud Strategy (Ref Chap 5)
• IT Governance Plan Summary aligning your proposal to the business (Section II-III - Chapter 6-12)
  • Develop an IT fiscal plan including a budget and budget process (Ref Chap 7)
  • Develop a Risk Management Plan and procedures. Include how you would manage disruptions (Ref Chap. 8 and 12)
  • Include how you would develop
    • Strong Business relationships (Ref Chap. 9)
    • Collaboration with IT (Ref Chap. 10)
    • Thought Leaders in IT (Ref Chap. 11)
• Portfolio Development and Management Plan Summary (Section III-IV - Chapter 13-21)
  • Develop and Application Portfolio Plan  (Ref Chap 21)
    • Include an API to develop for the business (Ref Chap. 15 )
    • Include an AI to develop for the business (Ref Chap. 16)
    • Include an Emerging Technology to develop an experiment for the business (Ref Chap. 13 and 17)
    • For each of the developments
      • Include how the developments will Improve the Customer Experience (Ref Chap. 14)
      • Include how you would use DevOps in the developments (Ref Chap. 18-19)
      • Include how the developments would help in managing IT Demand (Ref Chap. 20)
• Project Summary

Deliverable: Strategic plan proposal with answers to all of the bullet and sub-bullets above. 

Assessment: The assessment is based on your ability to apply the concepts from the course in both depth and breadth. The depth comes from your ability to use the topics from the chapters within your proposal.

Prepare your answers as one document and submit a copy into the Assignment Submission folder in .docx format  

Once complete: Complete the Project Presentation as an individual.
