The purpose of this assignment is to create a digital presentation and accompanying Zoom video to explain the significance of cultural competency in counseling, particularly its impact on adolescent treatment and prevention of substance use disorders, supported by a minimum of four scholarly references.

For this assignment you will create both a digital presentation and a Zoom Video presentation.

Imagine you have been tasked with presenting to co-workers about cultural competency.

Use a digital presentation tool (like PowerPoint, Google Slides, Beautiful AI, etc.) and answer the following questions in your 5-10 minute presentation via Zoom. Read the "Video Best Practices" resource before you begin recording:

1. Explain the importance of knowledge, skills, and attitudes of cultural competency in the counselor identity.
2. Explain cultural impact on adolescent treatment and prevention of substance use disorders.
3. Identify types of cultural groups adolescents belong to that may influence their attitudes and behavior toward substance use.
4. Explain how the attitudes of substance use from adolescents and their families impact prevention and treatment efforts.
5. Explain how movement from one culture to another can affect substance use.

Include a title slide and references slide. Cite a minimum of four scholarly references and a reference section. Submit the link to your Zoom recording to your instructor.
