Aims and Objectives

The aim of the project is to determine whether the construction company has well-defined health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for the employees. It will also evaluate whether the safety measures include a well-managed traffic management system and whether the system is effective in ensuring safety. The project will also evaluate how these systems have affected the timely and quality project delivery.

The objectives are:

  1. To determine the importance of proper health and safety protocols in a construction business
  2. To determine whether Total Construction has a working policy that includes proper traffic management.
  3. To determine whether the traffic management systems affect the delivery of projects.
  4. To determine whether the employees of Total Construction feel safe while working on the projects.
  5. To come up with the company complies with UK’s safety protocol for construction companies and what recommendations can be made on the same.

Task

1. Research studies on the company including evaluation of past and ongoing projects. This will also include evaluation of any existing policies and trainings offered by Total Construction.

2. Conducting a research study on site including asking the Project Managers some questions on the delivery of health and safety measures to the employees. The employees will also be questioned on how they feel concerning the safety measures implemented by Total Construction and how it can be improved.
