Identify and analyze a practice issue and formulate a policy or policy change to address the chosen practice issue. Demonstrate your nursing leadership ability to influence health care policies. 1. Introduction – Briefly discuss health care policy as it relates to nursing’s covenant with the public. 2. Describe the components of the Quadruple Aim assessing how it represents a balanced approach to health care delivery. 3. Identify and analyze one practice issue to address. This may be based on an encounter in your clinical experience or an overarching practice concern. o Formulate an approach to the chosen practice issue utilizing the Quadruple Aim approach (Refer to Mason, p. 5). o Utilize research and evidence-based practice to devise your plan. o Enlist other professionals and stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of your plan, including a brief description of each one’s contribution. o Describe the desired outcome. Include an impact statement regarding population health. The population may vary based on your chosen practice issue. 4. Discuss your professional nursing philosophy. This may have been developed prior to the current assignment. 5. Melt together your nursing philosophy with health care policy as it relates to your profession.
