Week 9 Assignment: Your Career in Applied Behavior Analysis

PART 1: SMART Goals

Using SMART goals, identify three goals you have for your career. Try to think beyond completion of this program and becoming certified.

Below are some suggested goals that relate to a career in behavior analysis: networking, attending conferences, completing specific CEs on a new topic, publishing research, developing curriculum, etc.

Smart Goal 1	Expand
Specific: What exactly should I be doing to help me achieve my goal?
Measurable: How do you know when the goal has been completed?
Attainable: How is the goal reachable?
Relevant: Does the goal reflect steps needed to achieve the long-term goal?
Time: Is there a definite start and end date/or time for this goal? If so, what is it?

Ethical Considerations:

Choose one of your SMART goals from Part 1 and use MEAL Planning to further expand your work relating to ethical considerations.

Main Idea: What is the main idea?
Evidence: What evidence can you find to support ethical considerations for your career goals? Use direct quotations to identify the evidence. Then, paraphrase in your own words. Reminder: You must cite at least three resources. This is a great space to do that.
Analysis: Interpret the evidence you found. Provide examples and expand how this topic relates to your goals.
Link or Transition: Link your work together and complete the thought.

Write your above MEAL plan into a full paragraph below. Remember to use at least three resources within this worksheet and comply with 7^th edition APA formatting.
