Marketing-Industry and Company Analysis Marketing-Industry And Company Analysis Assignment In this assignment, you will choose a group OR be placed into a group (you can choose which way for Group Formation) for Assignment 1 (same group for Assignment 3) and choose a company to conduct market research on. Individually, you each member of your team need to complete your own industry analysis to analyse the company’s marketing environment and consumer needs. As a team you need to communicate and decide upon the company (i.e. all members of your group will INDIVIDUALLY be researching the same company).
The assignment is an opportunity for you to:

Assignment Details Task For this assignment, your task is to conduct market research for a company individually. In Week 1, during group formation (see information in this link Group Formation) and choose a company from the following list. Note: This group and company will also form the basis of Assignment 3: Group project (which builds on Assignment 1)

Focus Areas There are four (4) key elements you will need to consider and include:
Describe briefly the company and its product(s) and provide information on the product market. Describe the macro environment (PESTLE), outlining factors affecting the company and relevant trends in the industry. Justify which two PESTLE elements are likely to have the greatest impact on your chosen company (and why). Conduct a competitor analysis, justifying and describing a main competitor. Discuss, based on your prior analyses, what you believe to be the two (2) key challenges for your chosen company going fOrward. Format The format for Assignment 1 will be a two-page summary highlighting your key points, plus unlimited appendices. Your document must be written in 12pt Times New Roman or Calibri font, with standard margins, single spacing, and justified text.

You must use secondary research for this assignment. This includes lecture materials, textbooks, academic journal articles, media pieces and industry reports and market information. This assignment cannot be completed without research i.e. simply using Al will result in a failing grade.
You are required to put all of your supporting evidence, research and data into the appendices. The assessor must be able to understand your report without being referred to the appendices, but they will check your appendices if in doubt. For example, your PESTLE analysis should be in your appendices and you will highlight the two key factors in your twopage summary.
Research There are many sources of information available for you to use to support this assignment. For example, search for market information (i.e.
size/financial estimates), news articles and reports that may be helpful. Use the University library databases to search for academic articles and databases that examine consumer attitudes, motivations, trends, product information, consumer reviews, etc.
