You should choose one episode of patient care that you have undertaken in your clinical context. The chosen episode of care should showcase your knowledge, expertise and a level of patient care that is consistent with the NMBA Nurse Practitioner Standards for Practice. You may use PowerPoint or other appropriate media for your presentation, you will have the opportunity to share your screen with the panel.

In the context of your episode of care, consider and present the following:
• Briefly outline the findings of your comprehensive physical assessment in relation to pathophysiology
• Describe the diagnostics tests requested and provide brief rationale for their use
• Interpret the results of the diagnostic tests in relation to your patient and describe how they inform your decision making, especially in relation to prescribing
• Present your therapeutic management plan, including pharmacological interventions, and discuss the evidence base and critical thinking behind your clinical decision making
• Consider and discuss issues related to patient education, referral, evaluating outcomes and discharge planning as applicable for your patient in this episode of care.
Case presentations are presented to a nurse practitioner and a pharmacist. You will have 20 minutes to present your case followed by 10 minutes of open question time.
