This needs to show up as a single sentence somewhere in your introductory paragraph. You will earn points for having such a statement in your introduction, and for how well the body of the paper defends and supports your thesis. Your paper should include an introduction, and a substantial 'body' that demonstrates the depth of your research and your understanding of the relevant sources. Additionally, the paper should finish with a conclusion that summarizes the paper and explains how the paper has defended the thesis. (Points deducted for first-person narrative style. This paper is about theory, not about you!)
